Do I need my own handgun for this basic pistol class?

No! You do not need your own firearm for this basic pistol class. Free firearm rental and 30 rounds of ammunition are included in this class.

Do I need an Illinois Firearm Owner ID (FOID)?

No! You do not need a FOID card to attend this class. However, if you feel you may be prohibited from possessing a firearm, please contact us before signing up.

Will I receive a certificate?

Yes! everyone who signs up for the Alpha Pistol Basics class shall receive a unique Alpha Koncepts proof of training certificate for Alpha Pistol Basics upon successful completion of the class.

I’ve never shot before. Is that a problem?

No! This is the perfect class for someone who hasn’t shot a firearm in the past.

Is this class different from NRA Basic Pistol or USCCA Basic Pistol?

Yes! Alpha Koncepts Pistol Basics is a blend of NRA Basic Pistol and USCCA Basic Pistol, selecting the best parts of each curriculum and adding in nearly 10 years of training beginner shooters from the Chicagoland area to develop a completely unique curriculum. Alpha Koncepts Pistol Basics prepares shooters for both marksmanship and defensive shooting situations.
